P2000 uses Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) which, in and of itself, has earned it's growing reputation of being more than "foam board", more than being used for flotation and more than even used "just" for packaging. It is an insulator that offers structural properties to materials like insulation boards, blocks and barriers. EPS is not new. In fact it has been around since the 1950's and has frequently been used in various construction components for it's ability to actually insulate. In recent years the use of EPS has grown tremendously and P-2000 Insulation has readily recognized it's potential. Just think of how a foam cup insulates hot or cold drinks from our hands! Imagine how 3, 5 and even 8 times that thickness, with facings of reflective materials, can be used to "insulate" from heat gain or loss for all kinds of other purposes like our buildings, vehicles, and homes!

P2000 SUPER 1"
Add to this actually quite astonishing ability to protect us from heat transfers, a unique characteristic that gives EPS virtually total impermeability! (Also known as hydrophobic.) That is, it is practically impossible for the expanded polystyrene core to trap or hold moisture. As we have all come to know moisture absorption of even the lightest amounts of humidity even can significantly reduce a material's ability to insulate, (or slow down heat transfer), and thus give it much reduced performance R-values.

P-2000 Insulation boards or rolls will not absorb or hold any moisture -- so it will not lose any insulation 'R" or vapor barrier performance value. It will neither propagate any mold or mildew and therefore never rot or deteriorate. In fact it has no adverse "shelf life" - so there will not be any need for replacing it after a couple years or having to somehow re-cover it to hide the ugly smelly mess other materials can leave behind

With P-2000 you can experience the TRUE "R" - in R-Value.

Finally available to the general public, an insulation system that really works in all temperatures all the time. This is no longer just for the elite or for those on the “inside”! The P-2000 Insulation Systems Team makes it available to everyone!

P-2000 Insulation is excellent for any of the following applications:
Commercial, Residential, Custom, Trailer Homes, Concrete Floors, Walls, Industrial, Agricultural, Retrofit, and many many more — use your imagination – bring it on!

How do I choose which P2000 product is right for my project?

P2000 is available in a variety of forms - using three different laminates and several thicknesses - each with its own particular features.

Available Finishes
They come in 3 choices of finishes! “And many different colors as long as it’s white or silver!!” – You can get REFLECTIVE covering on both sides for covered applications, foil on one side with scrimmed foil on other for exposed silver applications or REFLECTIVE covering on one side and scrimmed white on other for exposed white applications (as in conditions where a nice white finish is desired or you want extra protection like from animal fumes, under concrete, beneath stucco, if you want to spray and wash it - or any application with potential chemical reactions. The white has been acid tested.)

  • Premium Metal Foil
    • tough industrial pure aluminum sheeting
    • reflects up to 97% radiant heat
  • Metalized Plastic Foil
    • economical alternative to pure foil
    • high reflective properties (similar to pure aluminum)
  • Woven White
    • essential for contact with concrete walls or floors
    • also used in exposed finish applications (high walls, ceilings, crawlspaces, etc.)
Available Thicknesses
P2000 is available in a variety of thicknesses from 1/4 inch to 2 inches.
Standard thicknesses kept in stock 3/8", 5/8" and 1".
Standard sheet size is 4 ft wide by 8 ft long, but custom orders are available 4 ft wide by up to 15 ft long

Thickness chosen is based on:
  • desired insulation value
  • thicker material suggested for ceiling application for higher insulation value, and less likely to sag.
  • span width holding material
  • used alone or in conjunction with another insulating material

It has a Performance 20 year warranty - "real world" performance challenge to the “R-40" insulations of the world of yesterday!
We say this because we know it works! VIRTUALLY all the time!
- No cold, no heat, no wind, no snow, no water can get through it! It is impermeable!
